Jeremy Day knows every aspect of the energy industry. With >15 years of experience, he’s made his way up the supply chain, working in energy retail, distribution and manufacturing. Most notably, Jeremy spent five years as the National Sales Manager at Fronius Canada, one of the top 10 inverter manufacturers worldwide, before focusing on entrepreneurship.
After years of finding success in sales, Jeremy decided to take a leap of faith.
“I really wanted to be fully independent and make a real contribution to the Canadian market – to be a real entrepreneur and true leader,” he said. And so, Jeremy started Rechargeables Inc. in 2018 and hasn’t looked back.
“Key people and our loyal commitment to focus volume with key suppliers has been critical to Rechargeables growth and success to date. For example, Jing Yu (CEO, Fortress Power) has been an excellent role model and mentor for me personally. Loyalty for key suppliers helps us better serve our customers and it’s a lot more fun to business as a unified team” (2024).
Meanwhile, solar distribution wasn’t always Jeremy’s chosen career path. At 16, he left home to pursue a different dream. He was determined to be a professional hockey player. After three years in the OHL, he won two pre-season NHL games with the Atlanta Thrashers, before an injury forced him to switch gears. Jeremy chose Brock University to finish his hockey career, as a Varsity athlete.
In his spare time, Jeremy is a proud husband, father and he’s also one heck of a reliable beer league hockey goalie, still celebrating last year’s championship winter 2022/2023 season with “The Big Deals”. As a volunteer, Jeremy also serves as the Chair of the Board at PNUC Renewable Energy Co-operative, a not-for-profit that focuses on raising awareness and building new sustainable energy projects. Personally, Jeremy is very enthusiastic about Rechargeables, business ventures and any projects he takes on. His enthusiasm is contagious and that’s because he’s passionate about what he’s selling.
